Apple and the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is this weekend (February 8, to be exact), which means we’re obligated to talk about Apple’s “1984” commercial and Apple’s ties to the game.

Comment Corner

Maybe a side effect is that we’ll see less RAM requirement inflation on Macs. It feels like cheap RAM has allowed lazy developers to build bulky, inefficient apps for too long because they could get away with it as RAM specs kept improving. Will there finally be an incentive to rein in RAM use if people simply don’t want to spend the extra money (and requisite Apple Tax) to bump up to 24 or 32 GB?

Ads are part of life and I accept them. You guys do a good job. You’ve actually stolen me from Macbreak and Upgrade because you are completely apolitical, and just talk about the subject called Apple.

Please, no ads. One of the very few podcasts I can still listen to while going to sleep. Would no longer be an option if ads were added. Can’t relax to “but first, ask your doctor about Xylophone!
